Captured by photographer Shreenivasan Manievannan on June 4th, the time-lapse footage showcases the unbelievable sight in all its glory.

In an interview with Storyful, Manievannan shared his experience of witnessing the rare red-colored sunset rainbow: “[I] witnessed some beautiful light and a rare red-colored sunset rainbow to finish off the day in style, The rainbow looks reddish orange as the last bit of light just about sunset falls on the rain drops.”

This footage comes just months after Yosemite’s infamous ‘firefall’ in February, when the Horsetail Falls briefly glowed a bright red as the sun set at a certain angle.

When the sun is at the right angle, it reflects upon El Capitan, causing the waterfall to appear as if it’s on fire. Yosemite National Park public affairs officer, Scott Gediman, spoke to Agence France-Presse about the stunning illusion.
